MUC offers a hands-on one-year Horticultural Certificate Program designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge required in the horticulture industry. Approximately 50% of the program is conducted through hands-on training and includes a 2-month summer work placement in the industry. Classes are conducted at the G.R. Paine Horticulture Centre near the Nanaimo campus. Students must complete a Pesticide Applicator Certificate and an Occupational Level First Aid course to be eligible to graduate.
